Spring frost in Turkey

In Turkey, especially round about the time of 10 and 12 April, various crops were severely hit by spring frosts, according to the Turkish ministry for Agriculture. In some places temperatures fell as low as -15 C. These are the severest spring frosts in 30 years, according to the ministry. At such temperatures, it is often not only the crop that is lost, but there may be damage to trees too. There is enormous damage throughout the country.
