Spindle replaced by multi-leader tree

A narrow hedge, set up with multi-leader trees has great advantages compared with the traditional spindle orchard. This is becoming clear from more and more trials and examples from field conditions. However, the new narrow (2D-) training system – partly because it is new to many fruit growers - also involves risks.
