The first ship carrying Chilean cherries for the 2025/2026 season arrived in China on 5 December. The MSC Lome V docked at the port of Nansha in Guangzhou with approximately 370 refrigerated containers (around 8,000 tonnes) of cherries from the port of San Antonio in Chile, according to Frutas de Chile. The number of cherries shipped from Chile to China via the direct “Cherry Express” connection this season will double compared to last year, according to Frutas de Chile. (Source: Fruchthandel.de)
