Production of Wellant in North Germany to increase in the next few years

In the past couple of years, sales of Wellant apples in the Netherlands and Germany have been disappointing. In, among other places, Northern Germany, in the past two years, many trees of this variety have been planted. This means that production is expected to grow in the years to come from the present 18,000 tonnes (2025) to 28,000 tonnes. During the past two years, growers in North Germany have hardly planted any Wellant.(Source: OVR)
