450 tonnes of apples in 6 years

According to Chilean fruit growing consultant Mauricio Frias, a production of 450 tonnes of apples per hectare during the first 6 years after planting is possible. This is possible with narrow hedges, short distances between tree rows and trees with several central leaders on one single stem.
How he achieves this can be read in the article in the May issue of EFM. Here you will also find a link to a video in which Frias explains his experiences and advice.
