Fruit growers in Europe are faced by rising costs in all links of the apple chain, from growing to sales. At the same time the consumption of apples is falling. What is it fruit growers can do to secure their income under these conditions?
During the seminar in January of this year, organised by the graduate association of agricultural and horticultural colleges (A.L.S) these problems were strongly represented in the programme. Representatives of sales organisations from South Tyrol, other parts of Italy, France and Germany, shared their visions on this and told what it is they are doing in practice.
