Late planting less of a necessity through different pruning in planting year?

For years, the advice of Dutch consultancy Fruitconsult had been to plant fruit trees in either November or in May or even June. Due to changing insights concerning pruning and growing on newly-planted apple trees, this is no longer necessary in the case of apple.
